Parent Helpers/Duke of Edinburgh Volunteers

EE Playmaker Online Course

New parent helpers/assistant coaches/coaches/Duke of Edinburgh Award Volunteers should sit the FA’s EE Playmaker Online Course. It takes 2-4 hours.

The EE Playmaker course is hugely helpful and will bring you confidence and understanding of the FA’s ethos, and it also brings really practical hints and tips to build your confidence. When you feel confident about your role, you will support the children more effectively and more importantly, you will enjoy it more too!

The topics are:

  • Get Started
  • Connect With Your Players
  • Create Fun Sessions
  • Keep Football Safe
  • Get Involved/Next Steps

Once registered to start the course, you do not have to sit it in one go. It is based on self-access. You can dip in and out of the course a section at a time, (it will remember what sections you have previously completed). The course is easy to follow and can be sat from any phone or pc/tablet/device.

To sit the Playmaker course, go to the FA Bootroom following the link below and use the same log in credentials (email and password) as you used for your DBS. If you need to, or if you are a first time user, reset your password!

The course is free. It is also suitable to be sat by team parents or Duke of Edinburgh Volunteers (over 14 years old). The link is here: https://thebootroom.thefa.com/learning/qualifications/the-fa-playmaker

Support Logging in to Register for the Course

The FA maintains one central account for each member, which the club sets up for you when you join Lymm Piranhas. So, you use the same account details to log in for training as you use for Matchday or to Approve your Player joining the club as a Parent.
